So its been a while since by last post, apologies for that.
I suppose I don’t really need to apologise, as no one has been reading these due to the fact I haven’t posted it anywhere. My bad.
The fact is, I’ve been working on this almost 4-8 hours a day for the past few months (whilst still working my job) and have added so much stuff that is hard to break down fully.
Perhaps the easiest way is to simply show.
As you may have seen in my last post, this is what the game was looking like at the time.

Whereas, this is what it’s like now.

Believe it or not, these are both the exact same thing. The entrance to a cave and then a gif of the automove of the player from the level 1 of a cave to the stairs.
Of course the use of new tiles make it visually pleasing, but you can also see the improvements in the pathfinding of the automove, mainly thanks to the implementation of A*.
It’s nearly becoming something I am proud of and I’ve started to begin marketing a little just to get some interest and hopefully some testers.
First, I made this site (migrated from my personal page) and then set up all the socials, which is hopefully where you found this page from!
I’ve been a bit paralysed at times when it comes to sharing progress as I am constantly tweaking and refining even the most basic of stuff that by the time I have a post planned, the content within it is now either gone completely or so different that I’d have to make a lot of edits.
I realise now that it doesn’t matter too much in the long run. I watched a Caves of Qud comparison video between 2007 and its release and the difference is staggering and yet it probably would never have got to the point it is today without the devs showing it off in the first place.
So on that note, you will start to see a weekly diary of anything I’ve been working on. I’ll try and go over some of the old stuff when I get a chance or when I make an adjustment to it. Just bare in mind that it’s all still WIP and everything from the player, to the items, to the map to the tiles are all subject to change.
I’ll give a sneak peak below at some of the edits I’ve made in the last few weeks.

So yeah, I’ve been busy!
I’m hoping to have 0.1 out for invite only testers around July this year with a full public test release by Q4 2025 or Q1 2026.
You can follow me on the journey by joining the mailing list or following our socials and I’d love to hear any feedback you may have!
If you are interested in testing the game out, drop me a message/email and I’ll be sure to add you to my list of testers for when the time comes.
Thanks for reading,
Stanners
